Delivery Area

We offer a flat- rate delivery price for next day Sydney metropolitan deliveries for all deliveries placed before 1pm Monday – Friday (all orders placed on a weekend will be shipped on the following Monday) we also offer free delivery on all orders with Australia post standard delivery within 1-5 working days. **Please note with the ongoing lockdown in NSW delivery times will vary with Australia post.

Delivery Process

What is the latest advice from Australia Post?

All of our deliveries are made with Australia post due to reduced staffing in depots and an increase in freight moving through the depots with the calculator taking this into consideration, however, please keep in mind that these are estimates only and there could be further delays to certain areas. For more information regarding latest Australia Post updates, please check here.

We will not be able to refund the cost of Express Delivery if there are delays. Most Express Deliveries will arrive on the next business day, however some will take two or three days longer. Please keep this in mind when placing your order. In regards to latest updates on Express Post guarantee, read more here.

When will my order be dispatched?

  • Orders placed by 1 pm Sydney time on a weekday will be dispatched from our warehouse on the same day.
  • Delivery calculator estimates will tick over to the next day at 1 pm so please ensure you place your order in time to get the delivery estimate you’re expecting!
  • All hampers are dispatched from our warehouse at Bella Vista NSW 2153

Can I track my delivery?

  • When your order is dispatched, you will receive a dispatch notification email with courier tracking information that will allow you to track the progress of the delivery.
  • You can also access your tracking link here using your order email address, order number and delivery postcode

Do you offer Same Day Delivery?

  • We currently do not offer same day delivery.

Standard Delivery – FREE Australia-wide

  • Check the Standard Delivery estimate to your postcode on the delivery calculator above.
  • All Standard Delivery orders are sent with AUSTRALIA POST.
  • Deliveries are generally made during business hours Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays), and occasionally out of business hours or on Saturdays to residential addresses.
  • Deliveries to some regional locations made be made to the closest post office.

Express Delivery

  • Check the Express Delivery estimate to your postcode on the delivery calculator above.
  • Express Delivery costs between $16.95 – $24.95 per hamper depending on the delivery postcode.
  • Express Delivery orders to major metro areas outside of Sydney are sent with STAR TRACK, and regional areas are sent with AUSTRALIA POST EXPRESS.
  • Deliveries to some regional locations made be made to the closest post office.

Special Delivery Instructions

  • Please state in the Delivery Instructions on the check out page if the household at the address is in isolation due to COVID-19.
  • The special delivery instructions field on the checkout page is for specific instructions for the courier that are printed on the label (eg. deliver to the second floor and leave with reception, leave behind the pot plant near the front door).
  • Requests for delivery at a specific time of day will be printed on the label for the courier to see however cannot be guaranteed.
  • Our couriers are unable to call or text recipients prior to delivery, to confirm an address, or upon an unsuccessful delivery.

Authority to Leave

  • The option is given at checkout as to whether or not the parcel can to be left if no one is available to receive it.
  • If authority to leave is given and no one is available to receive the delivery, our courier will leave the parcel in a relatively secure location unattended at the address.
  • If the parcel cannot be left at the address, our courier will do one of the following:
    • Leave a card advising the recipient that the parcel has been taken to the nearest post office for pickup (AUSTRALIA POST and STAR TRACK)
    • Call the recipient for an alternative delivery address or time (STAR TRACK COURIER – redelivery fees will apply)
    • Some unsuccessful deliveries may come straight back to us for processing – we may not know about the unsuccessful delivery until it arrives back to us, and we, therefore, encourage our customers to keep an eye on the tracking of the delivery.
  • In order to ensure that someone will be present during business hours, and to avoid redelivery fees, it is highly recommended to send the parcel to a business address.
  • Please note that redelivery fees may apply for any deliveries that need to be reattempted.
  • Please note that when authority to leave has been given, The Hamper Emporium and our couriers cannot accept responsibility or liability on the rare occasion that a consignment is lost or stolen after our couriers have recorded the package as ‘successfully delivered’.

Hospital Deliveries

  • Most hospitals have specific guidelines regarding the delivery of gifts to patients – it is advisable to contact the specific hospital in advance to find out how their deliveries are received (eg. deliver to loading dock on Smith St, leave with reception in the Lindo Wing off George St).
  • Please provide as much detail as possible about the recipient – bed/room number, ward name/number, full name and street address of hospital – and ensure that the name on the delivery address matches the name under which the patient is registered at the hospital.
  • Please note that if a parcel needs to be sent to an alternative address due to the patient already being discharged, an applicable redelivery fee will be passed on to the sender.

Order Cancellation/ Changes

Please contact our shop on (02)8747200 if you need to change any details or to cancel your order. Unfortunately we are unable to cancel orders that have already been prepared or have left for delivery.

Credit Card Security

For your security Hamper Merchants uses Stripe to handle all of its online transactions. Norwest Florist does not see or store your credit card details. Your Credit Card details and handled by Stripes secure servers and are never viewed by Norwest Florist. For more information on Stripe please visit their website www.stripe.com

Alcohol

In Australia, it is illegal for alcohol to be purchased by (ordered online) or delivered to any person under the age of 18 and similar conditions may apply in other countries. The sender of the item is responsible for ensuring that their order complies with the law in this regard and absolves Hamper Merchants of any responsibility in this regard.

Prices, Fees and Charges

All prices of products and deliveries displayed are correct at the time of issue but Hamper Merchants reserves the right to change prices before we accept an order from you. All prices shown on this site are in Australian Dollars (AUD). All prices shown are inclusive of GST.

Returns
Unless you notify Hamper Merchants within 14 Days of delivery of any products the products will deemed to have been accepted by you the recipient.

We do not offer a refund for gifts that are shipped and delivered to the recipient without any damage or for a change of mind return.

Please note our orders are dispatched within 1-4 hours of receipt of your order Monday – Friday if you have change your mind or wish to cancel your order please call us immediately 02 8874 7200 as once the order has been dispatched we cannot amend or cancel it. Once a parcel has been sent it cannot be redirected to another address and can only be redirected once the parcel has been returned to us and a redelivery charge will apply to the correct new address.

If you have received an item that is damaged or out of date please contact us at hampers@flowermerchants.com.au or call us 02 8874 7200 and we will replace these items at our expense.

Occasionally products cannot be delivered and will be returned back to us and example of this could be there is a refusal of delivery, incorrect address, no access to security building, no where safe to leave a parcel, a card is left but the recipient has not picked up the package from the post office etc. In this case we will notify you as soon when the products have been received back to us at our warehouse and we will contact you for redelivery details at an additional charge.
